Built by a shopkeeper,
for shopkeepers.
Tillora was not born in a boardroom. It was born behind a billing counter — from years of first-hand experience running a real store, every single day.

“I tried many billing software out there. Not one of them understood what a small store owner actually needs on a daily basis. So I built one myself.”
I am a software engineer with over eight years of experience in the industry. A few years ago, I started a mini supermarket serving a close-knit community of around 600 households. Running that store for more than three years gave me something no amount of market research could — a deep, hands-on understanding of what small business owners deal with every day.
During that time, I tried several leading billing products. Time and again, I found the same problem: basic, essential features were either missing or poorly implemented. I switched from one to another, never quite settling, until a realisation hit — most billing software is built by teams that have never stood behind a counter.
That gap between software design and real-world need is exactly what I built Tillora to close. Every feature comes from a genuine requirement — not a guess, not a trend, but something I needed on the shop floor. The result is one billing software that covers invoicing, inventory, suppliers, customers, staff and the books, running on the computer and printer a shop already owns.
Tillora is a product of Tillora Technologies Private Limited, Chennai — built with care, by someone who understands the challenges of running a small business.
Four chapters,
one counter.
The engineer
Over eight years of professional software engineering, building scalable systems and solving hard problems across the industry.
The store owner
Opened and ran a mini supermarket for more than three years, serving a close-knit community of around 600 households — and learning retail from behind the counter.
The frustration
Tried several leading billing products. Basic, essential features were missing or half-built, because the people building them had never stood behind a counter.
The answer — Tillora
Engineering experience plus real shop-floor experience, in one billing software that covers invoicing, stock, vendors, customers, staff and the books — without buying new hardware.
